About this book

Bobbin is a small fox with a big yellow coat and two deep pockets, one on each side. She loves collecting small treasures, but she has never once crossed the Wobble Bridge.

In five gentle stories, Bobbin and her friends — Dabble the bouncy duckling and Moss the slow and patient turtle — find their way through the feelings every child knows: frogs-in-the-tummy nerves, thumping-tail frustration, the heavy sadness of losing something you love, and the squished-up feeling of jealousy. In the last story, Bobbin passes on what she has learned to someone smaller.

The stories:

  • The Wobble Bridge
  • A Kite Called Flap
  • The Day Flap Flew Away
  • Dabble’s Blue Marble

Little questions along the way — “What do you think it was?” — invite children to join in and talk about what the characters feel.
